For the Kingdom! — Hadassah Lily Darling’s abuse story
When survivors of abuse tell their stories, it helps other survivors learn and grow.
Back in 2018 we published a guest post For the Kingdom! – A survivor of domestic abuse tells her story. She used a different pseudonym then. She set up a blog called Hadassah’s Legacy, but she has now removed the blog and turned all her posts into a Kindle book.

If there be only one person for whom even one of these messages is a signpost to the freedom we were created for, then it has been worth putting this book together.

I hope to read the For the Kingdom ( Kindle) ebook MUCH sooner. 🙂
The Kindle ebook was VERY inexpensive when I downloaded it to my desktop computer, although I would have been willing to pay more. And some folks with Kindle Unlimited may be able to download the Kindle ebook for free.
Based on my own (personal) experiences, I’m guessing the experience(s) that went into the lessons learned / knowledge gained / etc. written about in the For the Kingdom ( Kindle) ebook were painful.
And NOT meant as a pious platitude, I’m guessing the lessons learned / knowledge gained / etc. written about in the For the Kingdom ( Kindle) ebook likely brought some blessings.
I hope Gaining Momentum (her screen name for the original ACFJ Guest blog post) is still gaining momentum (rather than the words “gaining momentum” just belonging her old screen name).
My momentum is still moving onward and upward – always new lessons to learn while walking with our Rescuer, Jesus. 🙂
Also in reference to your comment, Finding Answers, I did think when I was reading over For the Kingdom! how the ‘mildness’ of my story compared to some, belies the pain it caused. I think the lack of awareness of that pain, is why otherwise conscientious Christians can glaze over when hearing about the plight of oppressed spouses. They sometimes cannot connect with how painful it is for those who are abused if they haven’t experienced it themselves, or had a close relationship with someone who has.
Likewise, some may not experience the blessing of walking closer with Jesus than ever before, because of lessons that can only be learned in the kind of suffering that sends you running to Him in desperation.

For various reasons, many folks in both the secular and non-secular worlds cannot (or “cannot”) discern the difference between victim / “victim” / survivor / “survivor”.
And some of ^Those folks compare (make a game of comparing) the stories (or “stories”) of victims / “victims” / survivors / “survivors”.
And in ^That process, some victims / survivors are (somewhat) silenced.

I appreciate your help to increase visibility and access to For the Kingdom! for those who may find something that moves them along on their own path to freedom and peace.
Of the 37 blog posts I wrote over the two year period, the seven included were the messages I couldn’t ‘bury’ with the blog. Some of the others helped me rid myself of the injustice I felt, but I could leave them ‘behind’.
