I (Jeff C) have been receiving questions from some of you who have tried to order our book, A Cry for Justice: How the Evil of Domestic Abuse Hides in Your Church [Affiliate link], but have been informed by Amazon that it is on backorder. Some of you have been waiting for several weeks. I went to the Calvary Press Publisher website and found it backordered there as well, so I have emailed the publisher to see if they have a projected date of availability. In the meantime, you still can get the book from Amazon on Kindle for $9.99. I realize that the Kindle edition has some glitches in the formatting of footnotes which I wish whoever Kindle-ized it would correct, but nevertheless you can at least get the book in that format. We would appreciate your prayers that the book printing would be expedited so we can continue to get our message out.

UPDATE Sept 2021: I have come to believe that Jeff Crippen does not practise what he preaches. He vilely persecuted an abuse victim and spiritually abused many other people in the Tillamook congregation. Go here to read the evidence. Jeff has not gone to the people that he spiritually and emotionally abused. He has not apologised to them, let alone asked for their forgiveness.
A Cry For Justice 
I have the kindle version and love it. The glitches aren’t distracting to the point of not understanding or following the flow of the information. I didn’t think I’d enjoy reading the book as much as I am, but it’s like a breath of fresh air to know someone in ministry “gets it” and also gives examples of how a church really stands beside a victim – even to the point of having someone from a congregation attend every court hearing by her side. And I really appreciated the perspective from your experience as someone in law enforcement as well. It’s a tremendously edifying book. I had thought about giving it to my pastor, but decided if he’s interested he can buy it for himself. I’ve had enough cues from him and other church leaders that they’re not going to be as supportive as I need, and that I may have to leave our church – so … it would be money wasted on my part anyway. If he wants to know, he’ll find out. I’m so thankful you’re doing all that you are, Jeff. It’s a real ministry to those of us desperately crying out for justice – and relief. I wish there were churches like yours scattered across the country so those of us who are in search of a new church home would find welcoming arms of comfort. Those are hard to find, especially for Christian women who divorce. I know the Lord is in my situation because too much has happened that has protected me and my child when needed – and information that came my way just before something else would happen – but it sure would be nice if more of His people were involved in supporting me and mine in this situation too. Thank you, Jeff, for all you’re doing for those of us out here in great need – and may God continue to bless the work of your hands and heart (Barbara’s and your other co-bloggers here too)!
Thanks newlyanon! That is very, very encouraging. You know, I think you are wise about your decision regarding your pastor. Really, if they aren’t interested then it is a waste of money and time and energy. It really is true that if anyone wants to know the truth, they will know it. I think Someone else said something like that once!!
Update – The publisher has contacted me and said that the book will be back in stock in just a few days. It is presently on order with their printer.

I had the same issue when I ordered it last year. Customer Service told me the same story. I ordered a copy from Calvary Press (or some website with Voddie Baucham as one of the board, it bothered me). You might want to speak with the publisher yourself or to a manager at Amazon.
Is there any help for the abuser? I am abusive, not so much physical but definitely verbally and emotionally. I have accepted Gods forgiveness through Christ’s death on the cross. I pray each day for the fruit of the spirit. I’m looking for books or tools to help me understand and change. I love my estranged wife and children. I know my family has been destroyed because of my anger, dishonesty and manipulation. I want a heart of God if not for reconciliation then for a healthy relationship with our daughters. Please help me.
