This post is simply to pass on more information about George Simon Jr’s writings.
Dr George Simon, PhD, has been a fairly prolific blogger at various sites, which to my mind shows how generous he is in sharing his knowledge and wisdom. As our readers know, we very much endorse the work of Dr George Simon Jr (he doesn’t pay us to do that, by the way).
Dr Simon has very graciously written some guest posts for us:
- How To Recognize True (and False) Contrition
- Potentially Abusive Personalities: Some Red Flags
- Parenting after Separating from Your Abusive Ex — by Dr George Simon Jr
Here is some more material by George Simon that will keep you busy for many hours.
Dr George Simon – his main professional site (we have put this on the blogroll in our sidebar)
He has also contributed many posts at counsellingresource.com. Each link in the bullet points below takes you to a different series of posts by him there:
- Understanding Aggressive Personality Types
- The Thinking Errors of the Disturbed Character
- Manipulation Tactics and Impression Management
- Tools of Personal Empowerment: How Not to Be Manipulated
- Top 5 Misused Terms in Psychology
- Distinguishing Neurosis from Character Disorders
- Developing Character: ‘Ten Commandments’ of Character Development
Here are Dr Simon’s replies to a range of questions that people have asked:

And here is a taster from his post Budding Psychopaths or Immature Characters? (italics added)
I assert that character development in children is a 24-hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week, lifelong process. . . . Research is suggesting that for some individuals, biologically-based differences do indeed seem to impede progress in that process. But I have met only a few individuals in my lifetime who appeared so biologically disadvantaged that they simply couldn’t learn to do better.

His blog is amazingly wonderful! Wow!
Yes, have spent many hours indeed over his articles. This is before I have even read his books, which have yet to arrive in the post! So glad you are openly endorsing his materials. At first, I was rather reticent to recommend his materials to churchgoers as I knew they would be close-minded to anything not Christian. Now that The Judas Syndrome has been published, it might be a bit easier!
Great resource, thank you!
