Ahhhh. Cute, right? That’s Tobasco the cat on the left and Sadie the Lab on the right. What good buddies they are. Or, maybe not.
What is really happening in this photo is that Tobasco was being petted while laying on my wife’s lap. Sadie is a very demanding canine. She will not tolerate anyone else being the center of attention. What she is doing here is not snuggling with Tobasco, but using her muzzle to push him out of the way so that SHE can get the strokes.
Anyway, I saw this photo and thought it was a pretty good illustration of the deception of abusers. How they can look soooo kind and affectionate and draw the praise of others.
Sadie hasn’t ever shown her fangs when we push her away. But many of you have seen the fangs of wicked people when their demands are refused.
Just to be fair, Tobasco is no angel either. He has been known to bite when he doesn’t like you moving when he is on your lap.
