UPDATE Sept 2021: I have come to believe that Jeff Crippen does not practise what he preaches. He vilely persecuted an abuse victim and spiritually abused many other people in the Tillamook congregation. Go here to read the evidence. Jeff has not gone to the people that he spiritually and emotionally abused. He has not apologised to them, let alone asked for their forgiveness.

Congratulations to Jeff, Barbara, Megan and Jeff. Thank you all so much for your hard work and for your willingness to be our voice. I’m so thankful for each one of you!
Many of us are no longer burying our heads in our feathers; some of us still have our heads under the feathers at times; but we all have that friendly budgie beside us being a companion of encouragement along the journey. 🙂
And we understand that ‘have faith’ does mean we must hang on to that perch for grim death while magically believing that God will wave a magic wand over abusers so that all the abuse stops.
Rather, we know it means that God loves you and he does not demand you suffer at the hands of an abusive spouse – he can help you get free and he can provide for your needs in many unexpected and delightful ways.
And hey, there’s nothing wrong with putting one’s head under one’s feathers simply to have a nap! Rest is an essential part of recovery.

I don’t know how I would have gotten through this year, without having the encouragement and help I have received from this blog. Thank you Ps. Crippen, Barb, Megan and Jeff S. and all the others who have made this possible. Most of all thanks to God, for leading Ps. Crippen to teach the Church what He wants us to know about how He views abuse and divorce and bringing us His truth about it.
