Thursday Thought — Respecting Boundaries
A gem from the GEMS page…
The court respects the boundaries I put up in the counseling, while the church wanted to discipline me for it. [by Persistent Widow]

Yeah, I have heard this one:
“Worldly psychology” vs “God’s eternal word”.
Common sense self-preservation vs clobber verse de jour.
Freedom in Christ vs “Get back in your cage”. (before someone else discovers they are free)
That is a sound bite worth saving! Thanks Loren.
Good one, Persistent Widow!
Darn that worldly court. If only it was more godly, you could have stayed in bondage for longer 😛
This hits home with me. I was on the verge of being disciplined by my church for seeking protection for myself and my children through “worldly courts.” The reason I was seeking help from the courts was because the church would not intervene to help me. So glad I found this blog.
Welcome, Lindsey! 🙂 very glad to have you here.
Ditto, Why I work in the court system now. Today’s church really didn’t want or need me.
