Giving Wisdom to the Simple — sermon by Ps Sam Powell
Giving Wisdom to the Simple
Proverbs 6:1-5 (NKJV)
Ps Sam Powell
My son, if you become surety for your friend,
If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger,You are snared by the words of your mouth;
You are taken by the words of your mouth.So do this, my son, and deliver yourself;
For you have come into the hand of your friend:
Go and humble yourself;
Plead with your friend.Give no sleep to your eyes,
Nor slumber to your eyelids.Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter,
And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Another beautiful sermon. Thanking God that sermonaudio exists and that sermons from both Pastor Powell and Pastor Crippen are a click away. When church has proven dangerous / unsafe, a person can still spend time doing their own kind of weekly church service using sermons posted online. And for fellowship with other Christians, there’s this wonderful ministry via Barb and TWBTC.
I feel the same way, Anonymous. And I hear other people saying the same thing so often.
Very grateful.
