A Cry For Justice

Awakening the Evangelical Church to Domestic Violence and Abuse in its Midst

Fundraiser Concert by Jeff S: “Give Her Wings”

I wanted to let you guys know that through the power of the internet, on April 24th at 8:00 PM EST I am going to be doing an online acoustic concert with the goal of raising funds for the blogger “A New Free Life” who often comments here. This is something that Megan C and I had talked about putting together as a way to help an abuse survivor we know could use it, and we just decided to go for it. All profits from this concert will be donated directly to ANFL.

For more information, check out our event page on Facebook:

Or go to the concert page on “StageIt” (the site I’ll be using to stream the concert, and also the place to buy “tickets”):

And, as always, thanks to Jeff C and Barbara for providing this blog to minister to abuse survivors in so many ways!

I’m excited, too!! I prayed this morning that 100 people would attend. 🙂

Do you have to be on Facebook to do this?

    Jeff S-
Is there a way to donate directly without buying a ticket? Thanks~

Thanks! Thought I had read about donating somewhere else but couldn’t find it.

If there is anyone who wants to attend this for the music / encouragement aspect but doesn’t have the money for a ticket (or a way to get the money on the site), I can get you a ticket. Please create a username on StageIt [Internet Archive link] and then contact me via the band website including your stageit name:

Steady On: Contact Us [Internet Archive link]

I will “gift” you a ticket for the show.

You do NOT have to put in a real email address on the “Contact Us” form if you want to keep your email private. It seems there will be a lot of people attending this from the forum “in attendance” tonight and my hope is that the music and chat among believers would be encouraging to any abuse survivor.

For what it’s worth, the donations have FAR exceeded our expectations- the body of Christ has done well here. Now it is time to celebrate!
