Cybercrime and home security – keeping yourself safe

Informational post. A new link has been added to our Resources page –  Cybercrimes: Battling a New Kind of Home Intruder

The site also has lots of information about Home Security systems and devices. Very informative, it’s not a site that flogs a particular product, it just gives information to helps you consider various options for home and cyber security .

I shared the link with one of our readers and she wrote back:

Thank you for sharing the info.  It’s stuff we all should know and practice, but I think, for me anyway, we get so caught up in the survival of DV that we get lost, stuck behind, on some of the common, everyday things of “normal” life.  And, then, too, if I had ever locked stuff when my husband was living with me I would have caught hell for it!  I mean bad!  He would have accused me of trying to hide something from him and the attack would have been on.  So, I’ve just never been in the habit.
