What does God say about submission? — a new FAQ

We have created a new FAQ that lists several blog posts that address the issue of submission and what the Bible means vs what man’s traditions tell us.

What does God say about submission?

For many victims of domestic abuse, beliefs about what ‘the husband is head of the wife’ means and concurrent beliefs about wifely submission are some of the things that lock them into the abuse. At some point, many victims want to examine and perhaps re-evaluate these beliefs in order to get free.

  1. Controllers don’t have a biblical clue what biblical submission is.
Using scripture to threaten a victim into biblical submission is evil.
I am currently observing this in this present day church setting.
I will not bow down or be intimidated by men or women who have a control mentality.

‘Submission’ is such a dirty word for me these days. Evil taints everything. Mutuality and mutual, voluntary, ahem, MUTUAL, submission is one thing but subjugation is how the so-called ‘submission’ otherwise gets played out.

Abusers have no shame. To touch Scripture, twist it, distort it, and taint it is signature wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing behavior.
