A Cry For Justice

Awakening the Evangelical Church to Domestic Violence and Abuse in its Midst

Judging, Specks, and Logs — sermon by Ps Jeff Crippen

UPDATE Sept 2021: I have come to believe that Jeff Crippen does not practise what he preaches. He vilely persecuted an abuse victim and spiritually abused many other people in the Tillamook congregation. Go here to read the evidence. Jeff has not gone to the people that he spiritually and emotionally abused. He has not apologised to them, let alone asked for their forgiveness.

Judging, Specks, and Logs
Matthew 7:1-6 ESV
Ps. Jeff Crippen

Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.

  1. Song of Joy

I’m always comforted by Pastor Crippen’s sermons. It’s well worth the time to listen, and there are so many to choose from on Sermon Audio (dot com).

Good teaching. And I LOVE that there is a PDF for it. Reading is my preferred learning style, I guess, as opposed to listening. Having it in print is faster and more efficient for me to take in the info., and easier to stop when necessary and quickly pick up where I left off. (My thanks to whoever transcribed this sermon!)

      Gany T.,
Thanks goes to Ps Crippen himself. He creates a PDF for all of his sermons and puts them on SermonAudio along with the audio of his sermons.

Here is a link to a list of all his sermons online at SermonAudio: Christ Reformation Church.

Eureka! Thank you, Twbtc! I don’t know how that fact escaped me before.

Yes, the PDFs are such a treasure for those who are hard of hearing or deaf. A big thanks to Pastor Crippen for that. Otherwise, the treasure trove of SermonAudio is kind of inaccessible for those with said disabilities.
