Changes to our top menu, categories and tags, and introducing TWBTC
Over the last few months we have been re-vamping our top menu. You may have noticed the changes, but if you haven’t, we would like to draw your attention to them so that you can familiarize yourself with the new layout. Do have a look (have a squiz we say in Oz) so you can see all the things we have up there.
The latest addition is a page for Acronyms and invented words which is nested under the tab ‘For New Users’.
We have also been massively assisted by our incredibly hard working volunteer reader who I am hereby dubbing ‘The Woman Behind The Curtain’ — a la The Wizard of Oz, not to mention The Wartburg Watch blog which has ‘The Man Behind The Curtain’ who does back-office tasks keeping the blog tidy and organized. Our woman behind the curtain is a saint. She has converted all our previous categories into tags, and helped us create a new and much more streamlined set of categories, which is making our blog more professional and more user friendly, we trust. So I would like you to give a big round of applause for The Woman Behind The Curtain! Somebody cleverer than me can probably find an emoticon to convey this applause, but know that we love you, WBTC!
And dear woman behind the curtain, if you don’t like that name I will erase it. I didn’t consult you on this, so I hope I haven’t stood on your toes by giving you this nick name . . .
You can check out our new categories in the side-bar on the right, and we have a tag cloud in the side-bar too, which shows the 45 most used tags. The complete list of tags can be found in the top menu. You can search the blog by category, by tag, or by putting any word or phrase in the search bar. Or you can search by archive if you are librarian minded!
